Swedish Fit, Fun and fitness
Swedish Fit, a playful and healthy fitness practice for
future and young moms!
Pregnancy is a unique moment in the life of a woman who may
seem, for some, a little destabilizing or confusing: the body of the future
mother will evolve at any time during these 9 months.
To compensate for excessive weight gain and a loss of tone
and elasticity of the skin, future or young mothers are encouraged with
positive medical advice, to practice regular physical activity, in total
osmosis with their baby. Swedish Fit (formerly the Swedish Gym) is positioned
as the ideal and accessible fitness practice for pregnant women or young
mothers, especially with Standard Soft, Moderate or Yoga activities.

Stimulating the cardiovascular and parasympathetic system
(relaxation, relaxation ...), having a tonic effect on the whole body and not
traumatising the joints, Swedish Fit provides many benefits for this female
audience.
Romain, facilitator and trainer, explains why Swedish Fit
meets such a craze among pregnant women and young mothers: "To redraw its
silhouette as it wishes, the future or the young mother must have a balanced
diet that she will be complemented by regular physical activity, the intensity
of which can be gradual depending on his physical abilities, and Swedish Fit is
the ideal sporting activity for these women in full body change. "

Indeed, the positive effects of the sessions are many to
live a pregnancy in good shape and to prepare for childbirth:
- A better apprehension and reappropriation of an evolving body diagram (notably the placement of the pelvis),
- Learn to breathe properly,
- Feel your body differently and experience pleasure (release of endorphins, pleasure hormone, which baby will also feel),
- Better postpartum recovery
- Direct benefits on baby: if the mother-to-be continues to exercise, it intervenes positively on the first behaviors of the baby: babies more attentive, interested, less irritable than the others.
"Swedish Fit also makes it possible to control weight
gain thanks to the energy expenditure it requires, and Swedish Fit pays
particular attention to postures because these young mothers will be asking for
new muscles. you can build your back so you can wear a child with a correct
posture that tends to be distorted during pregnancy.A good body diagram and
good musculature on the back are the keys to good physical preparation for
motherhood and better postpartum recovery. "
Thus, Romain goes further by saying that Swedish Fit is a
particularly sport adapted to Mums-to-be: "Soft activities, such as
Moderate and Standard Soft, are devoid of any jump. No trauma to the joints!
The movements are studied according to the flexibility of the articular
mobility of the people. These activities are also provided by animators who are
trained in these pre or post natal audiences, to accompany them to practice or
a smooth sports recovery. "Finally, Swedish Fit also acts on stress thanks
to the warm and friendly atmosphere in which it takes place and brings a
feeling of well-being.
>>> Passionate testimonials from practicing swedish
fit
Latthida, a Swedish Fit practitioner since 2015, tells us
about her experience during her pregnancy: "I attended three classes a
week until the sixth month when I moved to 2. On the movement side, I found
alternatives for all movements. that I could not do, I am convinced that the
regular practice of Swedish Fit during my pregnancy helped me better through
the body changes induced by pregnancy I never felt my body heavier, despite my
16 kg In addition, it helped me a lot for the recovery and my body is
recovering well in the bath, just waiting for that! "
Emmanuelle, meanwhile, six months pregnant, continues today
to do his three sessions of Swedish Fit a week. She states:"I admit to
having reduced the rhythm and the intensity of the courses but I still like to
come and attend, I hope to be able to participate until the last weeks and
resume as soon as possible."
Finally, Marie, member of Swedish Fit since 2016, explains
with passion that she practiced practically until the end Moderate and Core
courses, which she took again as soon as her re-education of the perineum was
completed. According to her, the main benefit of these courses is to be able to
conduct a course with movements adapted to pregnancy, to let go and get a
feeling of total well-being. "The dynamism, the collective fervor, the
production of endorphins and the blooming at the end of the course can only be
good for any mum-to-be!
>>> The opinion of the medical expert
Leah Mallet, osteopath in perinatality, says that the
practice of Swedish Fit is quite compatible with a maternity. "This sports
activity makes it possible to work the breathing, prepares for the delivery,
makes it possible to become aware of its pelvis and its perineum, to soften the
latter, relieves the lumbar, and finally accentuates the mobility of the
women". However, you have to follow a few rules to make sure everything
goes smoothly.
>>> How regularly and at what pace can you practice
Swedish Fit?
Women who have regular physical activity before pregnancy,
can continue their practice throughout the pregnancy by adapting it of course.
On the other hand, women who do not practice any sport before pregnancy can
begin physical activity but at a moderate pace. Two sessions a week is ideal.
In the third quarter, the frequency and intensity of physical activity can be
maintained at the same level as in the second quarter. However, the pregnant
woman must remain attentive to her body and well-being and reduce or stop
physical activity if she supports it with difficulty. In all cases, a medical
opinion is strongly recommended for the follow-up of the sport practice at the
pregnant woman.
>>> What intensity for physical activity during
pregnancy?
The physical effort must remain moderate in intensity: For
athletes, the maternal heart rate must not exceed 155 beats per minute. You
must never finish an exhausted effort during pregnancy.
>>> When to resume swedish sessions after
childbirth?
It is recommended to resume a sport practice after
completing the re-education of the perineum. If activities involving jumps are
proscribed for at least three months postpartum, young mothers can enjoy the
joy of Yoga and other gentle practice without impact!
>>> What swedish activities did for the future and
young mothers?
MODERATE
The Moderate activity is ideal for taking up a sport
activity with ease. With no jumps and thanks to a measured rhythm, the session
allows you to take the time to execute the movements by emphasizing muscular
and articular awakening.
STANDARD SOFT
The Standard Soft activity is ideal to become familiar with
the concept of Swedish Fit. It allows to acquire a good control of the basic
movements as much in the sequences of cardiovascular work as of muscular
reinforcement. The jumps are limited to better protect the articulations.
YOGA
The Swedish Fit Yoga activity is a dynamic practice
accessible to all, articulated around a fluid sequence of postures and
breathing exercises. Based on different currents such as Vinyasa, Yoga Flow and
Jivamukti, Yoga is part of a development that is as much physical (muscular
strengthening, flexibility, endurance) as psychological (concentration,
self-awareness).
